DOUBLE
H RACE PHOTOS BRINGS THE YOUNG GUNS TO NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY JUST IN TIME
FOR 2009
New
Egypt, NJ (March 29, 2009) -
In an effort to bring younger and newer fans into the sport of
short-track racing New Egypt Speedway Photographer Pete MacDonald and
Crate Sportsman Rookie Ryan Simmons are teaming up to bring the Young
Guns promotion to New Egypt Speedway. The Young Guns will be featured
drivers that compete at the Speedway under the age of 21 to help give
the younger fans at New Egypt someone to pull for each and every
Saturday night.
"This
will be alot of fun for us this year, Anyplace we can go to explain what
we do and to try and spread the fan base or Dirt Racing in general. We
will do it" said Simmons, 16 of New Egypt.
Plans
for the Young Guns include School Field Trips, Car Shows, Little League
Events, as well as nightly autograph sessions at the Double H Race
Photos Photo booth behind the main grandstands. Nightly Inverviews with
Trackside Announcer Nick Leach are also on tap for the 2009 season.
"This
is going to be a great season at New Egypt Speedway and this program is
really going to work for our younger fans to try and make sure this
sport has a fan base for future generations" exclaimed track owner
Bill Miscoski.
The
Young Guns will also have fan based activities also such as the
"Pick the Quick Kid Contest" where a child under 12, will get
to pick a Young Gun and if that driver were to win, his or her family
would get a free family four pack back to next weeks action.
"I
think this will be a win/win situation for both the drivers and New
Egypt Speedway, Its a huge plus for the drivers because it gets them
involved with the community and hopefully attract some new sponsors so
that they can race for many years to come. Also its huge for New Egypt
Speedway because it shows they care about the community and hopefully it
will introduce the sport to a younger generation so the sport can live
on forever." says Pete MacDonald, 21 and co-coordinator of the
Young Guns.
Drivers
included for the 2009 Young Guns campaign will be the aforementioned
Ryan Simmons, Big Block Modified Rookies Chris Allen Jr., Frank Cozze
Jr., Bobby Sandt Jr., and Johnny Guarino. Sportsman Standouts Ryan
Forte, and Kevin Vaclavicek, along with Sportsman Rookies DJ Ruppert and
John Cornell. Crate Sportsman drivers Brian Papiez, Ryan Simmons, Joe
Reid, Rich Steele Jr. and Bryan Kuhl, with the Outlaw Stocks being
represented by Scott Dugan, PJ Oliver, Jarrod Burdge, and newcomer Tom
Princiotta.
Bonuses
already coming in for the Young Guns include GKS Construction who will
give $100 to the first Young Gun to win a feature in 2009. Oliver
Communication Group will give the first 5 Young Guns that finish in the
Top 3 in a feature $100. Hightstown Building Supply will also donate
$100 to the 2nd Young Gun to win a feature event. Along with Elegant
Epoxy Flooring L.L.C. is willing to donate an additional $100.00 to the
first rookie to have back to back wins.
