Kyle Borror Wins “Friends of Mike” Halloween Special at New Egypt

New Egypt, NJ – (October 30, 2010)Kyle Borror of Peach Bottom, PA captured the Crate-1 Sportsman “Friends of Mike” $1500 to win 25 lap main event on Saturday evening at the New Egypt Speedway. Borror, who finished second in this year’s final point tally, ran second to early leader John Micek for most of the race until he made his past on the final lap. Borror made a great inside move off of turn two to charge into the lead and capture his first win of 2010, the second of his career. Micek lost the handle and spun in the final turn as he tried to regain the lead using the outside groove, ending his great run. Bryan Kuhl drove a strong race finishing second, followed by 2009 champ Jon Haegele, Fastrax Late Model star Steve Davis and Ryan Anderson.

In the 20 lap “Run What You Brung” Sportsman feature, Rocktoberfest winner Dave Hunt of Flemington, NJ used the sprint car wings on the
top and front of his car to his advantage as he won his second feature in as many races. Finishing second for the second straight time to Hunt was 2 time defending champion Rocco Infante. Hunt ran second to Infante 3 times this season, before turning the table on him in the last two events. Mike Lyons chased them across the line in third to complete a strong effort. Current TSRS 305 Sprint Car point leader Jeff Geiges jumped back behind the wheel of a Sportsman tonight and came home fourth while Mike Howardson completed the top five.

The 75 lap Enduro was won by Pat Hires from Levittown, PA. Hires took
the lead from Shawn Elk on lap 10 and ran and hid from the competition lapping all but the second place car.  Tom Wolfe was second with John Gasko crossing the line in third.  Chuck Ekert and Bill Stockert rounded out the top five.

In the popular Demolition Derby Scott Rigglemann took top honers over the 11 car field.
