is an enjoyable one. A Few Fast Facts About New Egypt Speedway: *Location: New Egypt Speedway is located just minutes from Six Flags Great Adventure and the NJ Turnpike. NES is considered to be in the hub for many of the tri-state attractions. The speedway is located just 25 miles from the beaches of the Jersey Shore * 45 miles from Philadelphia, PA * 60 miles from Atlantic City, NJ * 70 miles from New York City. NES is in the center of it all and in the middle of hundreds of thousands of people.*Amenities: The entire facility features a daylight-quality lighting system and excellent sightlines from any seat in the house. The track is fully wheelchair-accessible with wide, clear, and well-groomed walkways. There are clean, heated restrooms, and a monitored playground area for the littlest fans. Whistle-clean concession facilities serve up everything from sausage sandwiches to ice cream treats at family-style prices. Our dynamic-duo of track announcers keep fans informed and involved with a state-of-the-art sound system.*The Track: Our racy, half-mile D-shaped clay oval, plays host to some of the tightest, all-out wheel-to-wheel competition you'll ever witness. Racers travel hundreds of miles to compete on what has been called one of the best tracks in the country. On average, close to 130 race cars compete weekly at New Egypt, plus a slate of high-profile midweek specials featuring some of the top national tours from around the country. Big Block Modifieds, several classes of sportsman racing, and high horsepower sprint cars from several touring groups make up our action packed card of events. In addition to our Saturday night program, NES offers up a Sunday program in 2008 that will feature Demolition Derbys, Mud Bogs, Enduro Racing, Micro Sprints & Freestyle motocross jumping to further diversify our fan base even more! *The Fans: On the fans' side of the fence, the buzzword is "interactive." Theme nights, contests, games, prizes, giveaways, even dancing in the aisles -- that's a typical Saturday night at New Egypt Speedway, where the fans are as much a part of the show as the competitors. Our Ralphie the Racer Kids' Club caters to the junior fan base, with structured activities, games and prizes, weekly pit tours, and a big ol' dog mascot joining in for the fun. *Parking: Parking is free. We offer a courtesy cart that will pick you up at your car and drop you off at the main entrance in front of the speedway. NES is also very handicap accessible for our patrons. Our handicapped parking lot is located directly in front of the speedway entrance. We also offer a handicapped spectator area with ramp for those using wheelchairs. *Seating: Grandstands are general admission. You’re welcome to bring stadium seats or blankets to save your seats throughout the night. *Coolers: Coolers are permitted. There is a 14-inch maximum cooler size for the comfort of our fans. We ask that you do not bring glass bottles. *Camping: Free-overnight camping permitted at the track, at your own risk. No campfires; must be self-contained. *Alcohol: Beer is permitted to be brought into the speedway. However, glass is not allowed. We encourage fans to drink responsibly when consuming alcohol. We also offer a non-alcoholic section for our fans.*Concessions: Maxwell’s Catering offers some of the best track food in the country. From their famous London Broil Steak Sandwiches to their freshly squeezed lemonade, you can bet that Maxwell’s will satisfy your every need.*Souvenirs: Earl Megill’s ‘Cluttered Room Collectibles’ souvenir stand offers almost everything in the world of auto racing. From local, short-track racing diecast models all the way to intricately detailed NASCAR collectibles…You can find many fans stopping by throughout the evening just to see what new, hot items are in Earl’s booth.*First Aid: New Egypt prides itself in being able to handle a sudden emergency that may pop up during the evening. Safety always comes first and foremost with our competitors, our fans, and our own staff. Directions to Speedway: From PA Turnpike: East to NJ Turnpike North to Exit 7A. Follow directions from NJ Turnpike above. From Delaware: Delaware Memorial Bridge to NJ Turnpike North. Follow directions from NJ Turnpike above. From Philadelphia/SW Jersey: In NJ, 295 North to Route 70 East. Stay on 70E for approximately 25 miles to Route 539. Left on Route 539 (North). Track is 6 miles up on right. From NE Philadelphia/NW Jersey: Route 78 East into NJ to Route 31 South, approximately 30 miles to Route 95 North. 95N will become 295 South. Stay on 295S to Route 195 East (Shore Points) to Exit 16A (Route 537 West). Stay on 537W for 5 miles. Left on Route 539 (South). Track is 3 miles down on left. From Garden State Parkway (Belmar area and North Jersey): GSP South to Exit 98. 195 West to Exit 16. Left at exit ramp traffic light onto Route 537 West. Stay on 537W for approximately 5 miles. Left on Route 539 (South). Track is 3 miles down on left. From Garden State Parkway (Atlantic City area and South Jersey): GSP North to Exit 58 (Route 539). Route 539 North approximately 25 miles to speedway (on right). From Toms River/Seaside Heights: Route 37 West to Route 70 West to Route 539. Right on Route 539 (North). Track is 6 miles up on right. If for some reason you’re unable to locate us or unfortunately get lost en route to the speedway, please don’t hesitate to call the track.
