Track and Infield Conditions Plus More Rain Possible Forces New Egypt Speedway to Cancel Ladies Night On Saturday, July 30th

New Egypt, NJ– Mother Nature once again claimed victory at New Egypt Speedway. With heavy rains flooding the infield and saturating the track over the last few days and more rain in the forecast for race night, the Speedway cancelled Ladies Night that was scheduled for Saturday, July 30th.

“In the interest of safety for all of our drivers and track workers, with the conditions the weather over the course of the past week presented us with we were forced to cancel,” said General Manager Allyse Wolfinger.

The Speedway will be back in action next Saturday, August 6th with Summer Olympics Night sponsored by Premio Foods. Racing will be the 358 Modifieds, NEWS Sprints presented by Burlington Overhead Door, and Crate Modifieds. Premio Foods will be hosting their annual Sausage Eating Contest at Intermission. Anyone interested in participating should call the Speedway office at 609-758-1900. Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Pit gates will open at 4 pm, grandstands will open at 5 pm, hot laps begin at 6 pm, and racing starts at 7 pm. Adults are $20, seniors 65 and older are $18, teens 12-15 and military and their spouses with ID are $10, and children 11 and under are FREE.

New Egypt Speedway is located on Route 539 just minutes from Six Flags Great Adventure and the New Jersey Turnpike. A racy 7/16-mile D-shaped dirt oval, New Egypt Speedway serves Garden State race fans with some of the best competition in the country. New Egypt’s state-of-the-art facilities feature daylight-quality lighting and excellent sightlines from any seat in the house. The grandstands are fully wheelchair accessible with wide, clear, and well-groomed walkways.
