RETURN FOR ROUND TWO
OF THE JERSEY RUSH AT NEW
EGYPT SPEEDWAY TUESDAY, AUGUST 21
New Egypt, NJ (August 4, 2012)
– It’s coming back, the
return of the JERSEY RUSH, only at the New Egypt Speedway.
Tuesday night,
August 21 the 410 sprints make their one and only visit of the year to
the New Egypt Speedway in a popular double header with the modifieds.
This event proved to be a thriller with JJ Grasso scoring his first
career 410 sprint win and collecting $5,000 along the way in the 2011 inaugural running of the Jersey Rush. Grasso beat out an impressive field that included Mark Smith, Daryn Pittman, Lance Dewease and Fred Rahmer. In the modified feature, Billy Pauch was the winner,
taking the victory in dramatic style. The event last year drew a huge
crowd even with threats of rain and lingering debris left behind by
Hurricane Irene.
The Jersey Rush
2 is building with excitement as well as a roster of talented 410 sprint
drivers already planning to take part in the event. Fred
Rahmer, Lance Dewease and Daryn Pittman are just some of the drivers who
plan to be in the field. The question is, will defending winner JJ
Grasso have a 410 sprint ride for the Jersey Rush 2? Grasso of Pedricktown, NJ is hot off a URC sprint feature win
on Saturday night July 7th at
New Egypt Speedway.
In the event of
rain, Wednesday night, August 22 will be the rain date for the Jersey
Rush 2 with gates opening at 5 PM and race time set for 7:30 PM.
Also returning
as part of the Jersey Rush 2 will be the Pre-Race FanFest, when race
fans are welcome to enter the pit area (5 PM to 6 PM) to view the cars
and meet their favorite 410 sprint drivers and modified drivers.
More details to
come on the 2012 JERSEY RUSH 2 at New Egypt Speedway on Tuesday night,
August 21. Gates open at 5 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM.

2 is a co-promotion between Lenny, Danny and Davey Sammons and special
events organizer Bob Miller.

A Driver & Crew
Meet & Greet is being planned by race organizers for fans to get an up
close look at the drivers, crews and cars. The Meet & Greet will take
place from 5-6 PM. The gate from Victory Lane (behind the turn four
seating) to the pit area will open to allow spectators to go pit side
for one hour prior to the start of the show.
