Christmas in July
Presents Modified Twin 25’s Plus Sportsman & Outlaw Stocks
New
Egypt, NJ (July 9, 2012)
– Last week Mother Nature certainly threw everyone at NES curve ball.
Record high temperatures, severe thunder and lightning storms with rain
showers tried to nix New Egypt Speedway’s Independence Day celebration.
With the determination of the track crew, drivers, and support of the
dedicated race fans, NES was able to be complete the entire show with
the exception of the big block modified feature event.
This
weekend’s annual Christmas in July event has been slightly altered to
fit the racing schedule. The postponed modified race from July 7 will
start off this Saturday’s program. The feature lineup is set, as the
modified main will now be 25 laps. Then there will be an entire regular
night of qualifying and feature events for the Modifieds, Sportsman, and
Outlaw Stocks. The Modified nightcap will also be 25 laps in distance.
The
modified teams will now be running twin 25 lap events for a full regular
purse structure rather than a twin 20 formatted purse. The admission for
adults will also be reduced to the normal $20 instead of $22. Students
12-15 years old and Active Military are $10 and children 11 and under
free.
The
annual fundraiser for the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots program, sponsored
by Advantage Financial Mortgage Bankers of Robbinsville, NJ, is all set
to go.
Santa
Claus and his elves have planned quite a visit to the speedway, as
Advantage Financial will give away more than $15,000 worth of prizes,
including big-screen televisions, beach gear, laptops, fishing rod and
reels, digital cameras, gift cards, gas cards, bikes for children,
adults and more.
In
order to participate in the giveaway drawing, fans must donate a new,
unwrapped toy (value $5) or cash ($5 donation) to the Marine Corps Toys
for Tots reps. For every donation made fans receive a chance to win one
of the prizes. The more you give, the more chances you get!
New
Egypt Speedway is located on Route 539, just minutes from Six Flags
Great Adventure and the NJ Turnpike. For more information you can visit
