New Egypt Speedway Announces Premio Sausage Eating Contest
New Egypt, NJ (April 17, 2012)
– Get ready to stretch out your jaws and loosen up those belts as New
Egypt Speedway preps for its first-ever sausage eating contest on
Saturday, April 28. Premio Foods, who will be sponsoring the evening’s
activities at the speedway, will also be presenting the inaugural Premio
Italian Sausage eating contest. Premio has been the official sausage of
New Egypt Speedway for the past decade at the Ocean County facility,
which is cooked and served weekly by Maxwell’s Special Events Catering.
Premio Foods is one of the leading sausage manufacturers in the
country and is proud to be a part of New Egypt Speedway. Premio Foods
has been passionate about making fine Italian sausage for decades, and
continues the tradition in their family today. Their delicious mild
Italian sausage, fresh bracioli and sweet lugiana are traditional
Italian favorites, but they also honor other classic ethnic varieties
with their hearty bratwurst, beer bratwurst, chorizo and kielbasa. For

The
contest will take place on the front stretch during the intermission of
the nightly racing program. Custom aprons and hats will be given out to
the participants in the contest. There are 15 available spots open for
the contestants. The first place prize will be a $100 American Express
gift card, with second place receiving a $50 Premio Foods voucher, and
third place earning a $25 Premio Foods voucher. The fans of New Egypt
will get to see just who can eat the most sausage in a certain allotted
time frame.
Members of Premio Foods will be on hand serving up
different samples of their delicious food products and they will also
have discounted specials on their sausage sandwiches at the speedway.
Premio will have plenty of giveaways and coupons that will be given out
to the fans in attendance on April 28.

18 years or older to compete in the contest.
The action will be hot and
heavy on Saturday, April 28 as the mighty Big Block Modifieds headline
the action as they compete in a Twin Twenty Features program. The
Sportsman, Outlaw Stocks, and Rookies round out the racing program.
Adult admission is $22, Seniors and Military $20, Students 12-15 years
of age $10, and as always children 11 and under are free. Gates open at
4pm with racing starting at 6pm. |
