NEW
EGYPT SPEEDWAY SAFETY TECH
(New
Egypt, NJ - Jan. 25, 2010) -
New
Egypt Speedway will be hosting two open pre-season practices on
Wednesday, April 7 and Wednesday, April 14. Cars can be NJ
safety tech inspected on these two dates as well as opening day on
April 17. The two practices are set for 5pm-9pm. Gates
will open at 2pm and safety tech will start at 3pm on these practice
days. You car will not go on the track until it passes
inspection. Whether your car competes in NJ, PA, NY, or DE it
MUST be inspected according to the NJ State Rule Book (http://www.njsp.org/info/pdf/racing_regulations.pdf)
by an NES official and have NES 2010 safety stickers to race at New
Egypt Speedway before the season starts.
New
Egypt Speedway must and will abide by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle
Race Track Regulations. A complete safety check will be
completed, however seat belts (All
safety belts and shoulder harnesses shall bear the date of
manufacture and shall not be used for more than two years from that
date), helmets, and roll bar padding,
are some of the key components that will be checked. Safety
Inspections, of course are free of charge, and will be done at the
speedway prior to the car going onto the race track. However,
for those wishing to avoid waiting in the tech line on practice days
or opening day, you can have your car inspected at your shop/home by
one of our four authorized safety tech inspectors. There is a
$50 charge for their fuel and time but the inspection can take place
at your convenience. This is just an option that our drivers
may feel is better than getting to the speedway and having to wait
in line before being allowed onto the track. For those who
need their motors sealed, they may want to do both procedures while
the tech man is at your shop.
