A
Few Fast Facts About New Egypt Speedway:
*Location:
New Egypt Speedway is located just minutes from Six Flags Great
Adventure and the NJ Turnpike.
NES is considered to be in the hub for
many of the tri-state attractions. The speedway is located just 25 miles
from the beaches of the Jersey Shore
* 45 miles from Philadelphia, PA
*
60 miles from Atlantic City, NJ
* 70 miles from New York City.
NES is in
the center of it all and in the middle of hundreds of thousands of
people.
*Amenities:
The entire facility features a daylight-quality lighting system and
excellent sightlines from any seat in the house. The track is fully
wheelchair-accessible with wide, clear, and well-groomed walkways. There
are clean, heated restrooms, and a monitored playground area for the
littlest fans. Whistle-clean concession facilities serve up everything
from sausage sandwiches to ice cream treats at family-style prices. Our
dynamic-duo of track announcers keep fans informed and involved with a
state-of-the-art sound system.
*The
Track: Our racy, 7/16-mile D-shaped clay oval, plays host to some of the
tightest, all-out wheel-to-wheel competition you'll ever witness. Racers
travel hundreds of miles to compete on what has been called one of the
best tracks in the country. On average, close to 130 race cars compete
weekly at New Egypt, plus a slate of high-profile midweek specials
featuring some of the top national tours from around the country. Big
Block Modifieds, several classes of sportsman racing, and high
horsepower sprint cars from several touring groups make up our action
packed card of events. In addition to our Saturday night program, NES
will again offer up other special programs in 2012 that will feature
Demolition Derbys, Mud Bogs, and Enduro Racing to further diversify our fan base even more!
*The
Fans: On the fans' side of the fence, the buzzword is
"interactive." Theme nights, contests, games, prizes,
giveaways, even dancing in the aisles -- that's a typical Saturday night
at New Egypt Speedway, where the fans are as much a part of the show as
the competitors. Our Ralphie the Racer Kids' Club caters to the junior
fan base, with structured activities, games and prizes, weekly pit
tours, and a big ol' dog mascot joining in for the fun.
*Parking:
Parking is free. We offer a courtesy cart that will pick you up at your
car and drop you off at the main entrance in front of the speedway. NES
is also very handicap accessible for our patrons. Our handicapped
parking lot is located directly in front of the speedway entrance. We
also offer a handicapped spectator area with ramp for those using
wheelchairs.
